Ash (feat. Madeline Carter) was recorded in two studios: Clyde Avenue and Hurricane Music. Scratch acoustic guitars and vocals along with finalized drums and Carter's fiddle were tracked at the former, while final acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, and vocals were recorded at Hurricane Music.
The cover art is the result a photo shoot conducted for the single on July 19th, 2023, with Aiden's initial idea of capturing an abandoned campfire on a local beach being combined with a few other ideas. Aiden also suggested that the band get some shots on the hillside overlooking the ocean and to stand in front of the sun that was just starting to set. All the concepts were used in the end, and the final image incorporates four images, all of which (except for the fireworks) are the products of said photo shoot. Ryan cobbled the images together initially, while Oliver cleaned the image up and added the filter over top. Lastly, Ryan added the text in the corner after the fact.
